Drive to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph.
Continue to the Sea of Galilee via Cana and visit the ruins of Capernaum. Stop at Tabgha and visit the Church of Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish.
Then drive to the Baptismal Site on the Jordan River outlet known as the “Yardenit”. Return to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.

Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David's tomb, the room of the last supper and the Dormition Abbey;
Enter the old city and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Western Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter.
Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the church of Holy Sepulcher. Proceed to the new city and visit Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust.

On Saturdays and Jewish holidays, instead of Yad Vashem, drive to Ein Karem, southwest of Jerusalem, traditionally known as the birthplace of John the Baptist;
Stroll in the narrow lanes of the picturesque neighborhood, stopping by Mary's spring and continue to visit the remarkable Church of Saint John the Baptist.

  • I have matured spiritually because of it...

    I was immersed in the culture and history of Israel in a way I could have barely imagined. It was an experience that changed how I engage with the history I had already been familiar with. I have matured spiritually because of it.

  • Visiting Israel with members of my congregation certainly ranks among the high points of my 25 years of ministry...

    I'm gradually getting over the jet-lag from our return trip from Israel, but not the let-down from the wonderful experience we had there, thanks in no small part to your efforts before and during our visit. Yesterday I had my first opportunity to speak about it from the pulpit at Old North Church, and it did not go unnoticed that my voice broke while quoting the 122nd Psalm: "I was glad when they said unto me, 'Let us go up unto the house of the Lord.' Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem..." Visiting Israel with members of my congregation and David's certainly ranks among the high points of my 25 years of ministry. I'm not sure it would be possible to recreate the spiritual impact of a first visit to the Holy Land, but I'd be glad to try!
    I can't thank you and the others enough for all you did to arrange such a wonderful experience. I certainly hope our paths cross again.
